The Jeep patriot and Jeep compass has a hard time following another 4x4's tracks. They are an embarrassment to the Jeep name.

Looks pretty bad for a 4x4. My 84 s15 Chevy Blazer used to drive through deeper snow much more easily than this.

I don't think this SUV is bad off-road at all. It's priced very well and get's great gas mileage. It's not a Wrangler on purpose, people.

im ashamed. idc what tires you have on it. i have street tires with 18s and ive made it up worse. try pulling another jeep out while having to go up a hill like that. but slick mudd under the snow instead.

@ylism Not bad, indeed. But it is on sale right now.

@pgpatriot That is great MPG to me. I wish that I could get one like that... The best in the US is like 29 MPG using gas, No diesels for them right now ? Nice Little Jeep You have take care..yl

@ylism It is good on MPG, best I recorded was 40 MPG US (or 48 MPG UK), but I read that I can do better.

@pgpatriot I was think that may be the case with the studed tires. Chains are the best for that type of weather anyways. I thought it sounded like a diesel. Would think it does good on MPG, and or LPG.lol Best, yl
Not bad for the wrong type of tires in thick wet snow & ice. Studed tires all around would have helped alot if you can get them there ? What motor does this one have in it ?? Thank's, yl

@ylism Nope... they are illegal in my country. Unfortunately, I had summer tires on the car so there where far too much lateral movement and I was afraid it could slide off the road. It is 2.0 VW diesel engine - 140 bhp and 320 Nm torque. I got chains later on in order to avoid this kind of situation in the future ... and replaced tires with M+S :)
