Tent Testing on Mount Washington

Inside a tent we were testing for Backpacker Magazine. Winds were sustained in the 50 mph range, gusting to the mid 60s. A little after 3am, a gust into the low to mid 80 mph range was recorded with winds sustained in the 60s! Please note that camping in the Mount Washington State Park is not permitted, and special permission was given to test these tents on the observation deck.
