My female cat came running to my side when she heard this baby crying. I guess humans are not the only species who respond to the cries of the helpless. It is her nature as she was the best mother I ever saw when she had her kitten (1). She carried it everywhere refusing to leave the baby anywhere unattended. It was handicap and died in two weeks. She would drop the baby in my lap when she went to the box, or ate her food. I was an acceptable substitute for a few minutes, but never very long.

babies need to cry because it makes their lungs stronger as long as they aren't crying for hour nor hurt it's good for them even my 4 yr old cries a lot its what kids & babies do

@monicavictor82 You're kidding, right? This baby is just crying cause he can, that's what they do. Have you ever noticed how quiet babies make quiet adults? Yeeaah.. It builds their vocal cord strength. My newborn can attest to that :P
