Spore Eating Creatures Alive!

Well, I'm playing Spore on Creature Stage, and I'm also working on a Kill All Species game, and I come across a creature called Six Eyed Bob. I killed about 5 of them, and I still had to kill 2 more to extinct them. I go over to one in the center of the Nest, and he doesn't notice me. He just stands there, so I think "Hey, I'll attack em' then." But the Target icon didn't pop up, and the eat icon did. I just ate him alive, but he never vanished, so I went over to the other one, which is where the video starts. The creature's name is Armise.
