Or...you could pick up a piece of paper and a pencil and practice drawing your own characters.

.... ok.... so the majority of your pictures are re-colours or badly edited...

im in the middle of agreeing and disagreeing i mean i drew a picture and some one stole and edited over it but i like also editing bases and screenshots but all at the same time i can draw O.o

"i really hate when people mess with my edits"
well how do you think we feel when we make fanart that ACTUALLY REQUIRES SKILL, and people edit it?

nice rpcs

I agree and disagree. I agree that a person should most definitely credit the picture they used, but I disagree that people should use them at all. Screenshots, despite being a pain in the ass to edit, always have the same source: the artist of the series. And hey, maybe people could start using panels from manga instead. There aren't as many colors to erase, and it's a lot cleaner. I don't do RPCs, so I hope my point makes sense.
And your RPCs are adorable. XD

i like your views on it, i used to do "color-overs" or whatever you call it to make rpcs, and to my greatest extent i had said they were not originals by me, but now i do personally draw my own rpcs (holy crap it takes maybe forever in a half to color on the comp and everything after scanned) but the work that you take to do something when someone just steals it and colors over it w/o giving credit is pointless, i know what your saying on this (:
and your rpcs are completely adorable ^_^

your rpc on 1:36 is so cute

Oh yes, I know.
Just kind of using it in a wrong way, I see what you mean. ^^'
A misunderstanding I suppose? :)
I also have been drawing for a great many years. But as an artist you must have copied off of someone's style along the way of the development of creating your own style?
You may think of me as both an artist and an editor. I edit for inspiration and learning. In my opinion, I would be overjoyed to find that someone thought my art was "good enough" and scribbled over my work. ^^

And why are you trying to do Shugo chara style?
Fanart doesn't require for you to imitate the exact same style of the original artist, you know. Besides, learning to draw only to do fanart is pretty boring. Why not create one's own worlds, with the freedom to do whatever you want to them? Why not do something more artsy? Why not try to do art from the heart and not only from what you like?
Uhm, I'm saying that using screenshots are fine. Fanart and original art shouldn't be used without permission from the artist, though, and if you can't find the artists, you shouldn't use the picture. Seriously, it's illegal to use their art without their permission.

People on photobucket don't own the picture, usually. USUALLY the picture is posted on a picture sharing site and has been saved.
The least editors can do is FIND the original artists, ask permission, and credit the artist by name.If they can't do that for fanart and original art, don't use the art. Screenshots are different, since animators have been compensated for their hard work. Most original artists and fanartists haven't been compensated, have compliments and credits to look forward to
