@cmcconna - Have you read the book you're criticizing in it's entirety? I used to think like you but then I read the actual book itself.. there's all kinds of stuff in there - it talks about STDs (Leviticus 15:16) .. I could go on. Bottom line - it's people trying to understand the world around them. Now if you said "the Bible was distorted to control the masses" you might have something. But the basic philosophy is humanitarian and egalitarian.
I posted a book "American Antiquities and Discoveries in the West". 1833, Josiah Priest. I shows over 30 pages of correspondence between CHAMPOLLION and Prof RC Rafinesque, on American languages and Alphabets! So, Joe has no excuse. Not hat he ever had one. AND:: Priest's book PROVES Champollion was well known to the American Public. Priest's book was in 4th Ed by 1834. So, this Video is in error at 45 seconds! Champollion was well known. Everything ultimately resides within the self, authenticity proved or not. At the point of departure from this particular reality such conflicts will seem so meaningless in glaring contrast to what awaits beyond.
I am no Mormon. I am an Illuminist. Relgious wars are rife with murder, fear and condemnation. The person you are addressing is no different than a person with a religious war within. God Bless you.
