WORK IN PROGRESS!!

Note: The blue (null) textures seen in this video will be either replaced by a texture or replaced by a model shaped like the blocks in the editor (for optimization purpose). As the doors will be replaced with a nice looking low-poly door model attached to a null-textured block with "door-rotate" (not sure if that works well yet)

A cs16 map made in hammer editor by me, Cr381v3. Tree-models are temporary borrowed, only to show you guys (and girls?) how it would look like.

Map made with.........Valve Hammer Editor 3.5 (with custom fgd, so that "circle_sprite"-models are visible)

Video captured with........Fraps 2.9.4

Video edited with............Sony Vegas 8.0 Pro

Terrain made with.........Terrain Generator by Ryan "NEMESIS" Gregg

Program used to compile textures into .wad.......Wally

Models made with:

3D Studio Max 9 (not 2009, with smd exporter-plugin)
MilkShape 3D 1.8.4 (to export and compile models to .mdl)
Photoshop CS4 (textures, saved in .bmp/indexed colors mode with "local (perceptual) as "palette")

All models except the trees and some half-life models are made by me (oven, deer, sawed off shotgun, ammunition-box of shotgun-shells, chair, Oldsmobile -72/73 delta (car),
piano, pipeline in the cellar, "water-pump-thing"/water-cleaner in the cellar next to the stairs, clock, mirror, hand, refrigerator, chainsaw, book (just added it) and more to come)

  • how do you attach some object to another, like a parent ? coz you said sth about a modelled door attached to a null textured actual rotating door...

  • @csmapper58 i said i'm not sure if it works, it was a while ago now so i don't remember.. honestly i didn't work on this project at all since i uploaded this video.. perhaps i should continue some day... but i want to make this map to left 4 dead. would be so much nicer

  • With a software called Nem's Mega 3D Terrain Generator made from a guy named Ryan Gregg! =)

  • I use this texture for optimization. For surfaces that does not show in-game.

  • every time I open a map from hammer editor in css it says: "All teams are full"

    and I can not understand what the problem is I've set spawnpoints and they dont touch any walls.

  • the blue/black texture is called NULL and make the texture transparent/invisible ingame, but the "block" wall/floor whatever is still there. Finally someone who give-as-shit :D
