Pretty strange,i was sure it was Angel. I dont remember well from where i got that info,though i do remember that it was a whole squere enix page. Hmhm..

@PLAL1057 hmm, i get that this is an old comment an all, but one thing, angelus is not angel in japanese. if anything it's probably latin.

@Miranowe damn, i can't believe i never realized that. what is it with drakengard and naming its dragons after angels?
then again it fits. Legna being angel backwards is a nice symbolic touch to his identity as a holy dragon but also as an ultimate antagonist and betrayer.

@SiCkEmBaRz -continued from first post- either way, the 'fused in the egg', thins is something that was revealed in the toomb of dragons in the second game (albeit indirectly as the messages are very criptic, however it is the decoding that most fans have come to obtain from the messages) how exactly this should have happened (since as i recall inuart died in the first ending right?) I'm not sure but again, that's what the third game should have explained had ever it been put in production.

@SiCkEmBaRz in fuse into the shield inuart doesn't become one with furiae, she just kills him and becomes one of those 'blood godesses' things and then caim and angelus kill her. You see, there was actually originally supposed to be 3 DG games and the third one that was never made was supposedly going to take place at some point in those 18 years separating 1 and 2 and explain lots of the stuff that connects 1 and 2 (it also apparently was supposed to be oror's story os something like that)

@badflamer yeah but, i couldve sworn that fuse into the shield was an altenate ending and as i recall this game begins off the first ending on the first game, so to say this happend is to also count the mission where millions of blood goddesses appeared before caim and his dead sister right at the alternate ending

the black dragon is legna. The reason it didn't die is because inuart never really died either, he fused with furiae in the egg or reincarnation and that made Nowe. Also since inuart's mind was severed from the watchers when he entered the egg that gave legna his conscience back and he was able to act according to the laws of his blood memory again, altering nowe into the new breed before he'd finish being 'born'.
