A bit of vapor escaping from an injector overflow or some other source under the rear of the engine serve to make visible the airflow being drawn into the oil burner. This is at the bottom of the forward end of the firebox and as this was shot while the engine was on display at Owosso they're just keeping a minimal fire & blower going to keep the engine hot.
