hmmmm... ran away from the profit discussion pretty quickly didn't you??
What is up with the intro "deserve their fair share of profits".
Typical union blather.. let the company take the risk on profit.. we wanna get paid regardless of whether any money is to be made.

You seem to have missed the part when John Bowman explicitly states that writers only expect compensation if studios generate revenue from exploitation of a property in new media. The writers are in fact not asking to be paid whether any money is made.
