Now you can taste the bread full of seeds from District 11, just like the bread that was given to Katniss after a tragedy in the Hunger Games.

The Recipe is below! I made this up - so it isn't from the Unofficial Cookbook.

Dough:
1/2 Cup Boiling Water
1/2 Cup Oatmeal
3/4 tbsp active dry yeast
1/4 Cup slightly warm water
1/2 cup slightly warm milk
1/2 tbsp salt
2 tbsp brown sugar
3 tbsp honey
2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
2 tbsp poppy seeds
3 tbsp flax seeds
1 1/2 tbsp sunflower seeds

Glaze:
1 egg
2 tbsp water
1 tbsp poopy seeds
1 tbsp flax seeds
1 tbsp sunflower seeds
1 tbsp oatmeal

Preheat the oven to 375 degrees, and then bake for 20-25 minutes!

Uh I have a question. When you put the dough (?) on the oven, it rises, but I do not have the oven under my stove. I have it on the wall. How long can i put it in the oven?

  • @theJKLM4427 Don't put it in the oven to rise - if you do that, you'll ruin it. I just put it on the oven because it's a warm place to rise... so if you have a heater vent, or a place that gets some sunshine, you can put the dough there.

  • Haha I just realized that in the description box, for the glaze it says poopy seeds. The child in me wanted to laugh but my adult side told it to shut up... XD

  • @TheMinuteVlog I'm assuming that if District 12 had a bakery, then District 11 probably had something at least close. But, I did scratch white sugar in favor of rough cane brown suger/honey/poppy seeds, did away with bread pans, and substituted some flax seeds in for some flour. Anything else I feared would come out with bad-tasting bread.
