Rainwater harvesting is a good way to provide fluoride free water for drinking cooking. In Karnataka more than 5400 habitations report excess fluoride in groundwater, the only source of drinking water. Here rooftop rainwater harvesting gives a good altrnative. Many a time household level defluoridation kits and community level defluoridation units have failed. Even in this village Laghumuddepalli houshold kits were dysfunctional. The lady of the house says she is happy with the rainwater which has provided relief from body ache. Local materials such as bricks have been used in the tank construction. A pump helps draw water out. The above the ground tank is sealed with a RCC roof and a lid. A filter with stone, charcoal and sand with a net mesh on top ensure very high quality of filtration. The rainwater was exceedingly tasty and also potable.
Has anyone noticed that in third world or less modernised countries that most people have nice White healthy looking teeth even though they apparently live a less healthy life style than us in the western world... I think it's us that live less healthy lives with all the processed foods and poisoned water systems

there's no such thing as pure water nowadays, not even rainwater for it has barium and aluminum compounds
