First of all, I would like to introduce Shawn to everyone.

Shawn is one of my students that lives near Pittsburg and is actually flying down to Jacksonville for a two week detailing course I am offering him.

Even though he is somewhat new to the industry, his work that he is producing already shows great promise.

I would like everyone to visit his Youtube page and give him some great words of encouragement. He's a great kid.

When Dennis brought the Corvette to me, originally I was going to do a Five step paint restore but upon further examination of the clear coat, decided that it had to be sanded out to repair the clear coat one hundred percent.

This is the most difficult task to under take in the detailing business and though many claim to be experts at this, what you are looking at is the PROFESSIONAL end of paint detailing that very few are capable of performing and the fact I am handicapped, I think I did a good job.

There were many scratches that had to be sanded. There was heavy oxidation
not to mention heavy water spots.

There is a misconception in the detailing world that water spots and oxidation will buff out. These are your so called specialist.

Well the answer to this is yes and no. Yes, if you buff out the water spots and oxidation, there will be an improvement to a point to where these detailers can actually fool their clients into thinking the problem is solved.

The problem with oxidation is that in a month or two, it will reappear leaving their clients feeling frustrated and short changed from shotty work.

The only way oxidation can be buffed out with out sanding is if it is very light.

The problem with water spots, is that even though there was an improvement, if you examine the clear coat very closely, you will still see etching cut in the clear coat. THIS HAS TO BE SANDED OUT.

What is etching ??
Water contains minerals, fall out, acid and God knows what else and when water spots dry up, it actually carves its self into the clear coat leaving a permanant mark.

So when these so called Specialist that restore paint come knocking on your door, you will know more than they do.

These detailers are the biggest offenders that are your so called Specailist.

They charge $120.00 to $180.00 for the WHOLE SHABANGE and whats even more alarming and shocking is that they claim to do it in 5 hours or so. IMPOSSIBLE.

Also remember, I offer a five year warranty on allof my restoration services because I seal your investment with GLASSPLEXIN.
THESE OTHER GUYS CANT AND WONT.
