  • @Az4angela yep grey fox eat rabbits. Could be a redfox as well, the gray on its back could be from shedding, seen one the other day similar.

  • Well whatever it was it had no white. I could tell it was young, but it didn't look ratty. At first I thought it was a small dog, but then it came into the light. The thing that threw me off was it was grey on the top and had a HUGE bushy tail. Red everywhere else. And like I said I am finding rabbit fur thats bloody all over the back yard. Do grey fox eat rabbit?

  • @Az4angela Langlade county. If it has any orangeish reddish fur on the neck throat with white on the throat its probably a grey fox, we have quite a few in the state. Coyotes are pretty ratty looking right now with the shedding, pups right now are small and would be with adults right now. Hope this helps.

  • Just wondering where in Wisconsin you are from? I have been seeing either a grey fox or a small coyote in my back yard. We also have been finding scat which could be from anything, and mangled rabbit fur.
