Yeats was the first Irishman to be awarded the Nobel prize in Literature. The Nobel Committee described his work as 'inspired... in a highly artistic form [it] gives expression to the spirit of a whole nation'. In this offering an actor reads his sonnet, 'Leda and the Swan'. Yeats is using Greek mythology to make a political point.
