  • Is the Hank Music from a car radio near by, or do they actually have speakers at his grave?

@LuvvyDuck - He did indeed help define country into what it should be- sadly it seems to have been redefined by the modern day Taylor Swifts and Rascal Flatts of the world. :(

  • @reelforreal The music was from our car stereo. I agree on your take of current "Country" music.

  • What you guys done is in no way disrespectful. I am sure thousands of Hank Sr. fans done the same thing, probably some even more far out. HANK SR. is probably loving every minute of it.

  • @headredbone Thanks, I think you're right. I have no doubt Hank was smiling while we partied. In fact, many people from around the country showed up in just the three hours that we were there. We were celebrating a great man's life most certainly the way he would have wanted.

  • on the right bench there is a rectangular stain where hank williams 3 accidentally knocked over bottle of jack one night years ago i just thought it was pretty cool its still there

  • @zombiefreak91 Actually, we left one of the stains in 1994 when I accidentally knocked over a small bottle of Jack. I don't know if you're talking about a different one.

  • My dad is 79 and he got to see Hank Sr when he was in high school in 1949, He said the gig was at a movie theatre during the intermission. How cool would that be to go to a movie and see Hank Sr as the intermission entertainment? It was a lot different in 1949. God bless ya Hank.

  • Thanks for this. Someday I'll make a pilgramage to this site. RIP Hank Sr. and keep it up Jr and especially Hank III!

  • @TheReneelittle you may be right but seeing as his family are musicians both of them awful wild in their own right I think theyd be okay. I'm sure his grandsons had a few there and I believe I've heard stories of Jamey Johnson downin some whiskey there and puttin a scuff in that old guitar of his... Truth is we all admire death and respect the dead in our way. In the words of the legend himself Mind Your Own Business.

  • I saw Hank's grave back in the 1970's.

He is gone, but he will be alive in our hearts forever.

  • @reelforreal Yes " country music is now a joke " the Taylor Swift thing proves that Nashville will condone anything to make money including promoting the sexuality of a minor! Hank' Lefty'and Webb ruled ! Best country song in years was written by a bluegrass guy Larry Cordell "Murder On Music Row" Bluegrass is getting the same treatment but Mr Monroes resolve will prevail ..

  • @TheReneelittle I think you need to read up on Hank's life. He wouldn't have minded...

  • i AM NOT SO SURE THE FAMILY WOULD THINK THIS WAS RESPECTFUL FOR YOU GUYS TO BE SMOKING A CIG. AND DRINKING AT HIS GRAVE SIDE.. I THINK IT IS HORRIBLE,
