Ashleys P.O.V.

Did anyone ever notice that when your going to somewhere you absolutely hate the trip there always seems faster? Because thats exactly how this whole experience turned out. I fell asleep as soon as we took off, and it seemed like it had been all of 15 minutes before we landed. As I opened my eyes, I gasped.

California, well L.A., was the most beautiful place I had ever seen. There were palm trees and more stores than I could ever have imagined, the sun was bright, and everyone just looked plain happy.

I groggily got off the plane and thought of how awful I must have looked. My hair was messed up, I was wearing plain denim shorts, a plain white T-Shirt, and plain black Converse. My eyes still had little bits of sand, and if I yawned any more I would suck in the world. Not that I would mind.

As I check out, I searched the crowd for Aunt Marsha. She was supposed to be meeting me here at exactly 10:00am. And it was now 10:15am, and she was no where in sight. I sighed and pulled my luggage towards the waiting area, fishing out a brush to try and tame my long, tangled hair.

Meanwhile everyone that passed had plastic surgery boobs and noses, artificially whitened teeth and the most expensive designer brands you could have imagined. I sat and waited, and the feelings of homesickness started to take its effect. I waited. And waited.

The next time I checked my watch, it was 11:15am. She was an hour and fifteen minutes late. I had tried calling her ten times, but of course no answer. I rolled my eyes and buried my face in my hands. Then someone tapped me.

I looked up, expecting to see Aunt Marsha, but instead there was an 18 year old guy who looked completely lost.

"Excuse me, miss?" He asked.

I sighed and sat up.

"Yeah?"

"Um, Im trying to find a girl. She just got off a flight from Connecticut."

"What does she look like?"

"UmI dont know."

"Lovely."

I stood up and stretched. I glanced at the doors. Aunt Marsha wasnt here yet, so I decided I would help him.

"Alright, lets find your mystery woman."
