Hard hitting drama about two sadistic psychos terrorizing the passengers on a NYC subway train late at night. Tony Musante's performance as one of the bad guys is Oscar worthy (imo) - and you have never seen Martin Sheen like this before (I believe this was his screen debut).

  • I wonder if Joe was doing something with his hand on Alice's lap.Very tense piece of film making

  • this film is great because it's a multi-stop journey through 1960's stereotypes, one tense encounter at a time - an amazing window into the social order of race, class, gender, age, and in the case of this clip, sexuality. All too realistic in that among strangers (on the subway, in NYC no less), it is easily unlikely for someone to come forward put an end to another stranger's misery - The famed unreported, but highly witnessed stabbing of Kitty Genovese happened 3 years earlier.

  • Wow,never knew this footage of Donna mills existed! She must be about 21!

  • Interesting that Joe (Tony Musante) gives Ken ("The Princess") his watch back...
