At around 3:13 you use Devil soul, I think it is, to transform for a really short trip to the right. Wouldn't it have been faster to just use your normal method of getting around?

That's the only way to make it through the waterfall - otherwise you get launched out of it, which is shown at 4:13.

Couple of questions, if you don't mind.
1. Is it actually faster to get the Claimh than skip it? You don't seem to use it on the final two bosses.
2. Would getting the infinite MP ring (Ring of Souls is it?) save time for the final boss?
Regardless, outstanding, maybe flawless run right here. Great job!

I got the Claimh Solais most for the heck of it. It takes about 2300 frames to aquire, but it does save some time on nearly all monsters after that. It's not used on Chaos since Final Sword can hit twice/swing.
Chaos Ring requires massive detour, collecting it would take about 2 minutes, sadly. It might be to fun to watch Soma go nuts with infinite mana, but mana is still useless in the first phase.

I can't believe you completed this game in only three videos, in less than 30 minutes. That takes skill, man. Will you be speed running any other Castlevania games?

Not sure at the moment. Never really liked any of the other Castlevania games since you're limited to the extremely boring Whip. I might check out Dawn of Sorrow sometime though.
I'm going to stick to Aria of Sorrow for the time being, most likely gonna redo this run from the Forbidden Area and hopefully get the smv over at TASvideos replaced. I'm also working on a warpless any% for Aria of Sorrow.
