Damon Thompson, a preacher who influences thousands of youth through The Ramp ministry in Hamilton, Alabama, went on an anti-gay, homophobic tirade in his sermon, "Complacency is not Normal," on October 16, 2010. The purpose of posting this is not to legitimize such hate; rather, it is to expose it.

The Ramp's mission statement is "to awaken a generation out of spiritual death and religious complacency, calling them to their individual purpose and corporate responsibility as an offensive army imposing the kingdom of God."

@dmdufrene One could just as easily say, "True Christians don't hate black people, we hate blackness because it's a perversion of God's creation..." Blah blah blah, same thing, just as absurd. Yes, you hate gays. You hate an intrinsic, unchangeable part about them. Therefore, you hate them. Doesn't matter how you try to rationalize it.
