The reason men weren't part of the show was that they were scared that men would assault the host if they lost.

I don't care for most of Chuck Barris' shows but this is the exception. I love Treasure Hunt. I remember watching it on some cable station in 1979-1980 when I was only 8 or 9 years old so it must have been reruns of "The New Treasure Hunt" from the early 1970s. Thanks for this and all the other great clips of game shows that GSN can't or won't air.

@TribalStudios18 Exactly. Just because the caps lock had brought on a new meaning to the internet (shouting) due to lack of looking at emotions does not mean that it directly means shouting. I have several friends who write in all caps and my parents even write in all caps so that way they can see and read more clearer since the standard font is so small and cannot be changed on certain sites. So, that guy does not need to apologize, and the attack back on him was not tactful.

Geoff: Do you keep the bucks or do you take the box?(Marion starts yapping, "The money!" many times) Could be something good. Could be a klunk, could be $50,000 in cash. You decided already, have you?
Marion: The money! The money! The money! The money! The money!
Geoff: She says she's--(tells her to be quiet, but Marion is not as she waves the money to the audience.) She says, "The money! The money! The money! The money!" Alright, you keep the money. Almost $1,000, that's a lot of money.

I believe this only happened four times (twice on each version) in which the contestants keep the money only to find out the check was in the box. The other clip (not shown) happened very early in the run (like, 1973) when a contestant kept $2,000 before Geoff shows her the check for $25,000 she gave up. That has been seen at least once in a montage but only during the first season.
this realy is nothing more than a spoof of lets make a deal so this doesnt realy count as an actual game show im sorry u can compain to you me all you want

@loutenore33 You can say you dislike it and you can even point to it and call it a ripoff all you want, and you're entitled to that opinion. But saying it doesn't "count" as a game show for those reasons is...weird. "Break the Bank" was a ripoff of "Hollywood Squares" but you wouldn't say that "Break the Bank" wasn't a real game show. It was.

This comment has received too many negative votes show
the worst excause for a game show it was fixed and discrmating against men

"Fixed" is a hell of an accusation, so either post something offering proof or join the "blocked" list.

Based on that Rifleman ad, is this from it's original airing?

No, reruns from Christian Broadcasting Network (now ABC Family).
