Playing a string instrument like the cello or the violin is hard, period. Being able to achieve the level where you can play something like this takes many more years of dedication and practice. I'm not saying that playing the piano is easy -- I actually play both cello and piano proficiently -- but it's really not possible to say that one part is harder than the other. They're both hard. Music is hard -- I should say, MAKING music is hard. But infinitely rewarding. :-)

It is not fair to say that the "piano part is far more difficult than the cello"
They are both presented with proportionally difficult objectives

Yes the piano part is far more difficult than the cello, but come on, if you don't find the piano part to be very difficult, then you must have incredible facility. It IS fairly pianistic, but still a VERY difficult piano part!
