Speech and language impairments include voice disorders (such as hoarseness, breathiness, or inconsistencies of volume and/or pitch), articulation problems, fluency problems (such as stuttering), aphasia (the inability to produce and/or comprehend language, usually as a result of brain trauma), phonological problems, and delays in speech or language.
