Xinjiang, located in Northwestern China, is home to the Uyghur peo-
ple who are known throughout the country for their exceptional skills
in singing and dancing. Uyghur folk dances are distinguished by their
head and wrist movements and reflect the elements of diligence, brav-
ery, openness and optimism.
