"Space Giants" debuted in Japan under the title "Ambassador Magma" (or something Japanese that translates to that). In 1972 the series was renamed and dubbed into English, finally making it to wide US distribution around 1978. If anybody remembers this, let me know.

  • I too remember watching this show on CH17 WPHL back then. Out of Ultraman, Johnny Sokko, and The Space Giants, I liked this one the best. Love the opening and the opening theme for it. Surprised that it didn't air in this country til the late 70s. Thought that I saw this on CH17 WPHL here in the Fall of 79.

  • Wow, what a Flashback!

  • I can't believe that I forgot all about this opening. Me and my little brother used to try to walk around like those boots, and the walk into that box (we used the fridge- close enough?). Chicago, Channel UHF 44, wire hanger antenna's for a nine inch B&W TV!

  • @shonknight3000 My mother used to say the same damn thing!

  • @4BA88F YES!!! I SAW IT THERE AND WTAF CHANNEL 13!

  • @preo2 Yes! 44 had the best shows...Space Giants, Johnny Sokko, Prince Planet and Ultraman. I remember Gigantor...but I'm not sure if 44 ran that one.

  • How did Goldar screw Silvar to have a son? LOL!

  • @shonknight3000 No doubt! 44 in Chicago had all the good shows like this! Ultra Man, Spectreman, Johnny Sokko, and the Marvel Superheroes!

  • GREAT JOB ! PLEASE, INSERT HERE THE CHAPTER 2 . I WATCHED ALL 32 YOU POSTED AND I AM PROUD BEING A MIKO's FAN !

  • Watched it every day after school on WTBS before it became the SuperStation
