kitesurfing 101 part 1 of 2 - Learn kiteboarding FULL VIDEO

I enjoyed watching this video. It is really nice to see a blow up kite. Everything seems to be perfect in this guys world. I think you are the main man Mr. Presenter. I also am interested in kites but may attempt kite skate boarding, even cheaper still but watch out for my carbon struts!

This is a really funny video, but also pretty stupid.

You need to remember that there are other beach users and kitesurfers about - an inexperienced kiter could very easily be "going to kill" themselves, or anyone else that is about.

Why risk damaging yourself, others, or the sport's reputation? Be responsible and get a lesson with a IKO instructor.

Learn to fly and ride safely - keep our beaches open to kitesurfers.

This guy is good teaching and explains pretty good. Obviously , he cant explain all the issues just the basics.Plus- it is all just going out there with someone and learning. But if you dont do what he says you are,"going to kill yourseLf*".

Just a couple of issues with this (as someone who taught themselves to surf back in the days of virtually no depower so isnt against self-teaching).
1) Light wind can and does rapidly turn into high wind - why risk going out without a leash?
2) Bows can easily be leashed on a rear line, the waroo in your vid is leashable in this manner, its very effective and reliable, not remotely dangerous.
The problem I have with this vid is that you seem to forget common sense is ironically a rare thing.

as long as you can leash to the rear line only or to the fifth line go ahead. i have never seen a beginner managing to figure it out on their own. don't fly a kite first time on the beach on the suicide leash.
