Indeed. He was back to Cyprus (his homeland) for a series of concerts. He had his leg in a cast, I remember then. He drove from Nicosia where the concert was to Lemesos, a 30 mile drive. It was late night, maybe he fell asleep on the wheel, who knows, and crashed. They found him later dead in his car. At least that's how I remember the story...t was early 1990's, I forget when exactly...
