@VINXGC : I understand your point, and yes, the referee's first obligation is to protect the fighters. But most of those punches were arm punches and though Castillejo may have been stunned, his legs were still firm beneath him and his head was clear enough that he immediately protested the ref's decision. It was an early stoppage, no question. Thanks for the upload, by the way.

That referee was an idiot! What the hell was he doing stopping the fight right there? I think Castillejo had more fight left in him and that was an early stoppage. Even before he stopped the fight, the referee seemed to be talking to the fighters an awful lot. He needed to get the hell out of the way.
Both fighters showed good sportsmanship, although I think they could have fought out of the clinches more.

22 uncontested hits straight on, in a row ... what is the ref supposed to DO? who he should have to protect first, the boxers or the fans right to enjoy with brutality?.
