I've recorded this session with our little Lumix cam and sat behind the camera, so - sorry for the poor quality ;) I think it's ok to watch. I couldn't use iShowU because of the setup.

The URL of Bombich Software (Carbon Copy Cloner as mentoined in the video is: http://www.bombich.de/).

Hope you enjoy that video and will check my Blog on http://www.klein2.de

This is a replacement video for the previous uploaded one with inproved audio & video + intro&outro.

  • Apple offers a very expensive RAID card for the Mac Pro which gives it the ability to do RAID 5 and such. However the Mac Pro can do RAID 0 and 1 (and 10) without this card.

  • Awesome! Thanks for sharing the knowledge dude ;)

    All best from NYC

  • I didn't understand: was it 0+1 or 1+0 RAID?

  • @CineGolem From what I understand, you don't *need* a RAID card, but by having dedicated hardware for that task, it will be faster. When RAID is done in software, the cpu has to do all the work. I haven't tried it myself yet, so I'm not sure if there is enough of a speed difference to justify the hefty pricetag of a RAID card.

  • Thanks for posting this, it;s tretty amazing, but at one point you mention something about a RAID card... I'm confused, so you need one or not?
