IT'S NOT DANGEROUS

Have you considered: tiredness from the cold and/or cramp from the cold water, not being able to swim from being so cold, body going into hypothermic shock, being washed out to sea then drowning, hypothermia, debris hitting you, (large pebbles were being washed onto the road!) waves tumbling you and hitting your head, undercurrents, hitting sea wall, limbs getting caught on sea floor, etc etc there are 100 things that could go wrong...
