Freddie Mercury Tribute - 18 Years Since

November 24th, 2009 marks the 18th anniversary of a day the world of rock music will never forget. Freddie Mercury, the lead singer and songwriter from Queen, passed away from Bronchpneumonia brought on by AIDS.

Even though Mr. Mercury is not with us here in body, he is here with us in spirit. His music has lived on through the decades--and perhaps will even last through centuries.

As his friend Barbara Valentin (R.I.P.) once said, "Immortality is what he wanted, and immortality is what he got."

Mercury penned some of Queen's and rock music's greatest hits, including "Crazy Little Thing Called Love", "Somebody to Love", "We Are the Champions", and "Bohemian Rhapsody".

And so, I present to you, my tribute to the Mercuryal One. I have been labouring over it for these past few days in order to ensure that it was a suitable one--one that would suit the man justice.
