Anthony Phillips is like a stately musical angel. I sometimes wonder what Genesis would have been like had he remained. It always seemed like he and Michael Rutherford were perfectly matched brothers :)

A true discovery this is! As a Genesis-in-the-early-days fan I'm struck with awe by the celestial beauty of this masterpiece. Anthony, I'm definitely going to get to know you better!

I love his first album on which Collins sings. I also bought his double instrumental album. There are nice bits, but I was disappointed.

In a written interview of his( I wish I could remember where) he commented on how sick he always got at concerts and that was one of the reasons he quit playing with the group. I certainly hope that he has now overcome this obstacle. He is a true musical genius. BTW have you listened to much of his solo albums?
