  • Unfortuately I have an impression that this kind of old school masters is dying off, even in Japan. Great video of a great Master!

  • i dont know what panicusvulgaris means by old school masters?i was able to train at seminar 3 weeks ago by naka sensei. he was very dynamic. he said he was stronger now than when he won all japan jka kumite. his hip speed was incredible. if he was an example of this supposed decline i dont think much to worry about. he was very approachable and humble, budo spirit very alive.

  • @PanicusVulgaris

Then i fear you arent training hard enough to keep the art alive.

My life long goal is to train and spread the art of karatedo.

The way its suppose to be done.

  • Seeing this performance leaves you deep bowing and humble on your imperfectness. Those masters have my deepest respect and it is up to us to keep traditions high in times of competion-euphorie and fast moving world. Let us try to be a rock and keep the traditions. Thanks for sharing, Oss

  • it's at times like these I wish the 5 star vote system was still in effect on youtube... AWESOME !

    Thanks for sharing this...

  • That's how Japanese Karate Kata should be performed. Good form and timing with no dramatic pauses.

  • Notice the erect posture during both the side snap kick (yoko geri keage) - such fluid movement. Also the use of the hips in the pairs of chudan level punches, all done with rock solid sochin stance. Kagawa is top drawer, no doubt about it.

  • Amazing!!! Thank you Sundome for this and all other great videos!

  • he is my coach & instructor in Bangladesh now

  • Solid! Oss

  • Kagawa's form reminds me of sensei Kisaka's who's more senior (1965 All Japan champ).

Kisaka's side yoki geri and mawashi geri are legendary.
