1988 Yamaha TZR 250 YPVS 2my (model released in japan, australia, new zealand). i picked this baby up December 2010 from a mexican (Victorian....south of the border lol) it had work done on custom paint job and just stored for a few years.
its illegal to speed here so of course i wouldn't do that....any speeds mentioned are rev counter and speedo calculated of course :)
The bike is geared down for pick up and goes like "snott off a stick"
just on the red line its 175 kph @ 10,000, 185 kph @ 11,000 and the motor just wants to keep going. It does handle like a dream though i am going to upgrade the forks and brakes as it came with a twin disc front end and wheels as spares. i will post some videos later (legal of course)
I have rode RD's owned RZ's and these TZR's are made way lighter, have way more BHP and look much better.
With a more agressive powerband i love how they go off there nut....its awesome sauce!!!!
Update 9 / 2011- New standard cogs and chain (14 front, 41 rear) just breaks 200kph (est 205 - 210kph)
"This is Mad Max Country"
