The first episode of Trail Ready. My apologies for the blurry intro. I'm still working the bugs out of my system.

Episode 1 covers the Flying A pitch with and without trekking poles, as well as a review of Hawk Vittles Sweet Italian Sausage with Pasta.

  • I was just about to order a dozen mountain house meals but I need to try hawk vittles first. Is the single serving enough food?

  • @rmoran113 I usually eat the double serving of mountain house, but the single serving of Hawk Vittles seems to do the trick for me. If you're not sure you can get the double serving and repack them. Hawk Vittles IMHO is far and away the best of the best.

  • I've never tried cooking by pouring water into food pouch, but I like the idea of keeping cookware clean. I would have thought that the hot cook pot would melt the bag though.

  • @FAQUAD2010 By the time you get the water into the pouch a titanium pot is usually cool enough for the heavy bags used in freezebag cooking. I've never had one melt yet.

  • I've seen the video and yes, packaging has been a consideration and is being worked on.

  • @hawkvittles Thanks William, I look forward to showing everyone what is definitely the tastiest trail meals I've ever tried in their new, improved packaging!

  • @ez2curanut If I remember correctly they were at my door in about 1 week. I'm getting ready to order some of the meals with bison just to try. I haven't had a bad meal yet!

  • @end2endtrailsupply very impressive on the segments on this video. I like. Favorited. Keep up the good videos. :) Some of those vittles look good; low sodium, may try. How long from time of shipment to arrival?

  • @a2eric1 Thanks. I wanted to do something a little different that was informative and entertaining. It helps to keep the video from getting too boring - don't like the first segment, then the next one will be up in a few minutes :).
