JACQUE FRESCO: Future by Design movie
http://www.fbdthemovie.com/order.html

Future by Design shares the life and far-reaching vision of Jacque Fresco, considered by many to be a modern day Da Vinci. Peer to Einstein and Buckminster Fuller, Jacque is a self-taught futurist who describes himself most often as a "generalist" or multi-disciplinarian -- a student of many inter-related fields. He is a prolific inventor, having spent his entire life (he is now in his mid-nineties) conceiving of and devising inventions on various scales which entail the use of innovative technology. As a futurist, Jacque is not only a conceptualist and a theoretician, but he is also an engineer and a designer.

I find the title misleading. What Jaque suggests isn`t science fiction. None of the technologies are futuristic - some are even outworn. This is an alternative way of living, one we could decide to realize today.

Imagine envisioning all of this in the 1930s? Would you call THAT futuristic? I bet you would! The real point is not the specific technologies... it's how Jacque THINKS. It's how he sees the world, especially in terms of its HIGHEST POTENTIAL.

Someone mentioned to me today that one thing that was NOT mentioned on the Presidential debates last night was a bright and enlivened future. Nobody talks about the future anymore in positive optimistic terms... not since the Apollo moon program.

that's a shame that this trailer doesn't mention the main concept of the city and future civilization - NO MONEY, banks or governments!

For raise a city like he wants , they will need more than 201 billions of dollars to rise a single building , so perhaps in the future he will be 1 billion more rich.

Talking about dropouts proved yourself being brainwashed like most of population. I am not a dropout and can't complain about lack of money, although I still think the whole economy based on money is wrong, mainly because motivation that drives people to create things is deviated, which is very disappointing. Blind belief in money will not get you anywhere. Don't let them fool ya.
