That was Davey's year to win the Cup. Such a shame. Ernie redeemed himself for that a few years later.

How about we reset the points at 36 races to go and everyone gets reset to 0

Just think if Harry, Kyle, or Mark had won the championship. That would've easily been the biggest one-race jump to the lead in NASCAR history. No one would've beaten such a record.
