@Siegetower - The GOP of today, in no way, resembles the Republican party of Lincoln. Today politicians aren't Statesmen, they are self aggrandizing parasites looking to make themselves rich and to protect their sponsors, other rich parasites. As for the KKK, there are several iterations of the KKK, they started and ended at different times, don't know if they were of any one political party. Where did you get your information?

@oldcomic1 I think you'll find if you research it that the split of time between which party controlled Congress was about 50/50. It was the Dems that put forward all the legislation that allowed the Subprime mortgage crisis to begin, under GW Bush.

@oldcomic1 - I can't argue with that...but we don't have Clinton, we have Obama, the GOP don't like black people, that's why they try to stop everything he tries to do. Who do you think the Dem's will have to run against Obama? I haven't seen any activity, have you?

@JOHNINCOLUMBUS Think about this, When Clinton was president government worked pretty well. Though I don't like everything he did, he was able to get stuff done, even with a GOP congress. Under 8 years of Bush, mostly with a GOP congress is when the government stopped working for us, and most of the things that crated our current conditions were done
