  • Another of Brent Able's excellent tennis tips

  • @dyarger71 Appreciate it. Many thanks for your kind words. Slight correction, it's Abel, not Abel, but that's cool, you're probably the millionth person to misspell it!

1,000,000 - That should warrant a big prize - send me a message via YouTube and let me the biggest challenge in your tennis game right now. Brent

  • Up until recently I had been mostly a one up/one back player and hit more of an offensive topspin lob from the baseline. Now that I have been moving forward more, since I have improved my volleys and have been working on my transition shots, I need to practice the lob volley.

  • @Rodgers269 No question that you're a better doubles player when you're up at net with your partner. You can get away with one up - one back at lower skill levels, but players with pretty good overheads & drop volleys will rule the day - Brent

  • where should the lob be hit down the line, cross courts, slpit down middle

  • @tennispro494 I like to aim my lob volley over a player's backhand just in case my lob is short. If it's short, then my opponent has to deal with a high backhand volley, not the easiest shot in the game - Brent

  • @SleepyCroyd Getting jammed when you're returning serve? Or when you're up at net? Thanks for your question.

  • It would be great if you covered what do do when jammed up. I end up hitting a weak slashing shot against say, a left hand swinging serve into the body.
