I get the "women are phsysically weaker argument". But kickers focus more on technique than power. You could have all the power in the world, but if you dont have the right technique then all that energy is wasted. Thats why a 15 year old female goalie with flawless technique can kick a ball further than most grown men with little to know skill . And soccer is important because most kickers are soccer converts... today's form of kicking is called "soccer style".

I hear what you are saying, and to make it clear I was only talking about this woman and not women in general. Now I will talk about women in general: Woman have to fight genetics to close the gap. Women are physically weaker than men, even a woman at an elite level may be weaker than a man at a semi elite level. Naturally women have more important jobs then men do (like keeping the human species alive) that require less muscle mass. Soccer-football different things. We will see.

Dude, ive got a feeling we are going to see more female kickers at the college level. Since the quality of female soccer has increased so much over the past 10 years.

I was watching a girls soccer game at my former high school where the goalkeeper was drilling the soccer ball past the halfway line almost everytime... thats 55 yards man.

Granted said girl is also in the player pool for the U17 national soccer team, but still it just goes to show that the ladies are closing that gap.

She is not even a very good kicker. She is more of a novelty act, something for the female fans to route for I guess. Put her skills on a man and he would not make the team.

This is the only decent film I can find on Ben Mauk but I'm excited to see him with the Tampa Bay Storm, that flea flicker was especially nice. He looks like the most likely starter of the four currently under contract but we will see how preseason goes.
