I went to college long ago, had very qualified profs who were believers and "anti-believers" in others. So there are very smart folks in both schools. As a believer, I still got along well with both, but were respectful of their opinions. When you don't believer in God and close your mind to that possibility, you do can't believe fully in the scientific method since you have closed your mind to a possible explanation without considering the evidence. Plese keep an open mind.

sadly i know this will never make any difference. but when you are talking about people that base their lives around stories that are no more credible than the easter bunny or peter pan, i guess there really isn't much of a hope anyway.

God created all forms of life.  God also let these animals evolve. You can not disregard the fact that every living creature on this earth has evolved to adapt to its own unique environment. Read up on the Galapagos Islands. It'll take you pro creationism cats on a roller coaster.
