okey i used to think that western people could not dance or feel music but helene does a great pices of art with her body, i think and see how she feels the music and I must say i'm impressed, she has danced for 15 years and has a varity in her preformances

Well, you "feel" music, you don't "understand" it.
Most westerners do lack the same skills as arab girls in bellydance, but arab girls grow up with such music and are used to that sort of dance. Westerners are most often not. It doesnt matter from where you are, you can still become a great bellydancer.

Well, I can agree with you to a certain point. What many from the middle east get wrong is that many of us do understand the lyrics also but we have a different way of exposing our feeling. For me to 'copy' the expressions of middle eastern dancers makes it look very fake as we don't have the same gestures and mimics in our culture. Maybe that makes it more understandable for you?
