No. Actually vlads right, you can't die in this game, you go unconscious and enemys stab and stomp on you and you slowly lose experience and gain scars which you can pay gold to be removed.

offline 2 players and I heard 4 or 2 players online.

No. You when you kill stuff the experiance falls on the floor. If you die then you just dont gain any of the experiance that is on the floor. So you basically gain nothing and lose only the time that you spent on that combat.
