  • O man, You gave me a very good idea. I will just head over to the fabric store and get all the supplies. Ty for letting me know that my dinning room table is the reason my lower back may be hurting. LOL..

  • @mcGrammy2010 I am so happy to help! I hope you are a LOT more comfortable now :)

  • It's me again, Alice, I just watched this again. Y'know as I watched I now remember how I kept scooching over because of that leg. There's things we do w/o even giving it a thought but still feeling uncomfortable, glad you pointed that out! I've purchased a hollowcore door for around $20 and set it on a two file cabinets, now I need to go measure it and see if it meets those 17". Thanks for making this cognative for us. Don't bother answering, you're busy,

  • Hi Alice, I love chatting with people about my videos and I appreciate your idea too - the door and file cabinets are a great solution. I will use 2x4 blocks sometimes to raise things up to the right height ~~ whatever it takes! I sure hope your new table is *very* comfortable for you. I can't wait to hear about it, I hope you post a comment or a video and let us know. Marguerita

  • @CrazyShortcutQuilts Hi, Marguerita :) I just watched a few of your videos; i'm new to the quilting world and wanted to make sure I was doing things properly! However, I am lost. I am posting this in the wrong place because I'm so lost! I'm trying to find the video BEFORE the one you did 'for Linda' - showing the FIRST steps of attaching binding, BEFORE you do the corners. Could you please link me to that? I sure would appreciate it! Thanks very much! Suzy

  • @cazelsolvesky Hi Suzy, I have not yet made one on the before portion of the binding but there are *many* on YouTube and quite a few of them are very good! I have a site called quilt-video that has good videos sorted by topics - I can't post the link here but it is on my channel page if you click on that :)

  • that is ok if you have the room but i do not so i have and keep my sewing masshine on my table and i found a pino bench and i had some foum and fabric but the fabric over the foum and that works for me

  • as a petite woman, i've always had a problem with finding a comfort zone for sewing and quiling and now i know what to do..... thanks, what a genius woman!!! and it's soooo practical! can't thank you enough. i'm smiling now!

  • Great advice thankyou.

  • Hi Alice, you have a very good point. We have to use what we can! Maybe if quilters see this they will get up and stretch more or look around to see if there is a lower table in the house for them to use. Either way we *have* to keep quilting ;)
