SUPERMAN TRIUMPHANT: SUPERMAN'S BLACK SUIT

A simple background info regarding the one of Superman's suit latest iconic suit-- the black suit. And as I attempt to find its origin and connect the black suit to Superman and to his father Jor-El surprisingly I was able established perhaps a more significant role of Superman and his mission to earth. In my version the the black suit makes a very brief appearance --during Superman the father and son scene which I used in my version of Superman IV.

This is a part of a series updated clips about my proposed edit entitled "Superman Triumphant" . Superman Triumphant is an updated version of Superman IV using additional scenes from Superman III with additional effects. It aims to provide completion to Superman IV which I considered a potential epic and yet an incomplete film and offer a dignified conclusion to Chris Reeve's Superman. This concept I conceived and campaigned three years ago at YouTube.

I respect your opinion. But majority do agree that Quest for Peace was released as an incomplete film. And even if it was complete, the script --although may have some potential -- still lacks something. And here is where fans like me can suggest their own creative inputs. In my version I provided a direct link to Quest for Peace with Superman I and II. Strengthening Superman's role and mission thru the father and son scene and ultimately the nuclear threat.

Altering the color of Superman's costume maybe trivial but ultimately necessary. And so to avoid confusion and to retain the identity of -- as you described it --the "classic" Superman IV, it was also necessary that I renamed my cut as -- "SUPERMAN TRIUMPHANT". Still I highly emphasize that it is a "re-edition" of Quest for Peace.

The only software I have are Apple iMovie 2008 and Macromedia (yes Macromedia not Adobe) Flash Professional 8. As you can see I'm actually not really proud with what I have but at least I was able to visualize my ideas.

Kidding aside that brings us to a more intriguing scenario. Perhaps as a scientist from Krypton he has extensively studied other galaxies and planets and most likely like the TV show "Smallville" he might have even visited planet earth long long ago.

This whole point of the bright blue and red suit is about hope and that he is the good guy. Black is often used in superheros who has darkness to them or represent evil. Superman has no evil in him. He will help anyone who needs help even his enemies. Those who want to put him in a black suit doesnt understand what superman represents.

I believe Jor-El was to exceptional on Krypton. His sense of justice and faith in his own findings that he peacefully adheres to when cautioned by a fearful and controlling Council. Perhaps the story suggests he had accessed his consciousness in such a way as to access knowledge of all things and events in a complete Universe? He may have lived as a human previously. Just a beautiful thought! ;)
