Great review, and pretty spot on. Rocky V isn't awful by any means, but as you summed up, lots of mixed messages, unnecessary subplots, not enough Rocky, and so forth.
Not sure if you've seen it, but apparently Avildsen released his "Director's Cut" of Rocky V to the internet, usually found under the name "Rocky V workprint" or something. It's genuinely different in a lot of respects, and totally worth a watch if you're into Rocky or feel like another review!
