I haven't been able to mountainbike for 4 years now because of rheumatoid arthritis. I used to ride mtb marathons. I miss riding a lot. Maybe an assist like this could get me back into riding.
But I would want it to be silent. There is no way I could stand this noise while riding.

Does it also make this noise while riding?

@fluffster71 Of course, it does. Maybe you can also check out this longer Video on the bottom of this site (due to YouTube's URL-blocking, it's a bit complicated to tell you the URL):
Go to
radteam-tirol DOT at
click on
the blue button EXTREME
scroll down to the bottom of the page and there click on
"MTB mit Gruber Assist am Buchacker-Almweg".
This opens more text and the longer video of a ride with a Fuji-Bike equipped with Gruber Assist's engine.

Servus!
