you're a fucking retard. there sound doesn't make them "black" its the way black people swing. And some white people swing way harder than some black people.
If you are black you should understand this. but hey, it's cool that a white guy has to explain thigns to you. nice

you are a bigot. to imply that white people don't have any "real experiences" is horrendously ignorant on your part. All forms of human life are put through their own individual trials and tribulations. Your statement is so false and inaccurate, why don't you go listen to some Bill Evans if you want some soul in your music.
so if the band had 1 black member, it would have 1/16 soul, 4 black members, 1/4 soul? help me out, give me a ratio of how many people it takes with dark pigment of skin to make your standard of having "soul". I bet if you closed your eyes, you wouldn't be able to tell what the colors of the members were. I can't believe it; 2008 and there are still dinosaurs like you roaming the jazz-earth.

Jazz is beyond the color of skin. Soul is not represented by skin color. Music is one language truly, understood by few. Musicians are practically a race in itself. This is great jazz. How dare you bring race into this! That mentality will get you absolutely nowhere. This is a hell of a song, awesome! I love the David Matthews Manhattan Jazz Orchestra.
