You accept the biological definition of evolution, yet dispute universal common descent (UCD). What mechanism do you propose stops the evolution? In addition, what evidence would you accept for UCD (genetic, fossil, etc)?

It's not that something stops it - its that blind mutations and NS can't design ANYTHING which requires several mutations (or several bits of information). Evolution requires a step by step biochemical pathway for EVERYTHING, which is just insane to believe. Can you build a car engine, one piece at a time, so that you have function at every step? Of course not.

Because it's easier to mock Creationist if you make their view seem as brittle as possible? It's pretty easy to pull this "bait and switch" and make Christians look ridiculous, so I guess he figured he would straw man them. Then he accuses CMI of a publicity stunt....but one must wonder if he was the one trying to do a publicity stunt!

And ya he told me he WAS a Christian. I don't think Ive ever heard him defend or preach it in any way tho....only mock other Christians :(

@onceforgivennowfree I WASN'T a christian, I STILL AM. The reason why I don't talk about Christianity and such is because it is not my field of expertise, and thus I prefer to redirect people to more competent thinkers and theologians (even here on YT, such as the allsaintsmonastery channel).

As of the video, I'm really wondering how reciting a dictionary definition of Biological Evolution is a fallacy, perhaps you could enlighten me on this (and what fallacy I have used precisely).

Ya I know you told me before that you were a christian....

I think you misunderstood what I am saying in this video. I never said that your fallacy was your definition of evolution. In fact, I know alot about evolution, and am more than aware that the definition you gave is one that IS used and acceptable in the field.

Your fallacy was when you claimed that Creationist don't believe THAT particular definition of evolution - because they do! I am a Creationist. I believe that God miraculously spoke everything into existence. Yet, I still believe (as does CMI) in changes in gene frequency in populations.I just object to the common descent of all living things (microbes to microbiologists if you will). This is just the very basics of what Creationists believe, and I thought you would know that.

IF that is not how it happes please explain to us how the process of evolution happens. It did, we have the fossils and the DNA proof.

My favourite in the sea of evidence for common ancestry is dormant genes. Why would animals have the genes for traits they no longer exhibit?

In the "5 seconds into the video," you completely misrepresented what he stated.

He stated "I find it truly amazing to believe ... [etc] ... That is, Biological Evolution." He did not state that all creationists or even ANY creationists DO believe this. However, it is a fact that there ARE people ho dispute this. I don't care and he doesn't care if you are not one of these people.

Hi once again.

So what part of evolution do you creationists not believe in? You do believe that species can change over time. Do you then debate that species can not become isolated and change in different directions? Do you claim that such species could not change to the point that they could no longer reproduce? If so, please present reasons WHY these things do not occur. I am eager to hear your response.
