@nowthisis2stupid Thanks appreciate your feed back. My Daughter really wanted it to still have some of the character of the Mosin. I think that this is a nice compromise between sporterized and original.

@pjhoneycut That's true, but I found with my 91/30 that the longer bent bolt handle makes it easier for me to work the bolt without taking the rifle down from my shoulder, since the length of pull on the 91/30 is a little long for me and the factory bolt handle is both pretty far forward on the rifle and a little too short.

@pjhoneycut Bent bolt look nicer, function better and I like it. Besides it is better to not have the bolt coming back in front of your nose.  This is a scout rifle. It uses a pistol scope which has a long eye relief. It works great.

Not really sure why you needed to bend the bolt? The only reason to do that is if you were going to mount your scope over the receiver and the normal bolt would hit the scope on opening. Your scope is a country mile away! Nice stock job tho.
